The IR-05 Flat Roof Ballast System is the fastest, strongest, and most cost-effective 5-degree ballast mounting solution on the market. Its streamlined design enables assembly of each base bracket in under 30 seconds, with module mounting completed in less than a minute—bringing total installation time to just 5 minutes per module. With tilt options ranging from 5 to 30 degrees, the system supports solar modules up to 700 Watts without requiring any roof penetration. Both the IR-05 and IR-10 models are engineered to clamp securely around standard cinder blocks. Each bracket features an integrated handle for easy one-person transport and positioning, significantly reducing installer fatigue compared to traditional basket-style ballast systems.

The IR-05 is designed for mounting solar modules of any size in a landscape orientation on flat roofs. After placing the initial row of brackets, two IR-05 brackets are required for each additional module. Each bracket must be positioned beneath the optimal load-bearing points of the solar module—typically 15% to 25% in from each long edge—as recommended by the module manufacturer’s mounting guidelines.
