The Orion-Tr Smart DC-DC Charger is a professional, adaptive 3-stage charger with built-in Bluetooth, designed for dual battery systems in vehicles and boats. It allows the starter battery and smart alternator to safely charge a service battery, with full control and monitoring available via the VictronConnect app. The charger supports both 12V and 24V systems and is compatible with lead-acid and lithium batteries. Models are available up to 400W, and multiple units can be connected in parallel to increase output power. It also features remote on/off functionality and an engine-running detection system for seamless, automated operation—without needing access to a CAN-bus or additional sensors.
Built for high-demand environments, the Orion-Tr Smart delivers full output up to 40°C and operates efficiently in temperatures up to 55°C. It can function either as a battery charger or as a stable power supply. In charger mode, the three-stage charging algorithm helps extend battery life and ensures safe, efficient charging—particularly important in systems with smart alternators or voltage drops due to long cable runs. The unit can also be set to power only when the engine is running, protecting the vehicle’s onboard voltage and alternator, especially in lithium battery applications.
